N.C. Wyeth Originals

N.C.: Newell Convers Wyeth is renowned for both his illustrations for Scribner’s Illustrated Classics, as well as his personal works in which he aimed to capture the beauty of everyday American life. In his lifetime N.C. produced over 4,000 completed works. N.C. also shared his talent and strict work ethic with his family. Under his instruction his children Henriette, Carolyn, Andrew Wyeth, along with his students and sons-in-law, Peter Hurd and John McCoy, achieved acclaim for their works. N.C.’s legacy stretches far beyond the pages of the books he illustrated, his works and that of his family continue to be a part of the American experience.
